Charles E. Plunkett

Mr. Plunkett is an associate of Gerrish Smith Tuck Consultants, LLC and the law firm of Gerrish Smith Tuck, PC, Attorneys. Mr. Plunkett’s legal and consulting practice focuses on community bank mergers and acquisitions, bank holding company formations, Subchapter S reorganizations, corporate taxation, bank regulatory matters, and general banking and corporate law. He formerly served as Counsel for Depository Institutions and Interim General Counsel for the Mississippi Department of Banking and Consumer Finance in Jackson, Mississippi where he oversaw all legal issues for the Department’s fourteen regulated industries. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Plunkett worked for two financial institutions in Nashville and Houston.

Mr. Plunkett graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of the South in 2007, and from Mississippi College School of Law with a Juris Doctor, cum laude, and Masters of Business Administration degree in 2017.
